This 35mm AM rim is listed as being lighter than the 33mm 27.5" XC rim, is that correct? It is shallower, so that could explain it.

The 35mm( and 27mm) width asymmetric rims are our lighter series rims because we adopt different procedure in producing, they are designed for the customers who want lighter weight rims.

380+/-15g is our standard weight.
If you want stronger, we can add the carbon fiber to improve the strength, and the max weight will be around 430g.
